Presented by TAG, ‘Amuse-Bouche’ is a night of music and comedy, at The Granby.

Invocal will perform old favourites as well as a lot of new songs.

Invocal will do some very special one-off gigs later this year! Yes, you heard right! Invocal. Gigs. The band will perform in their original line up of Rosie, Rachel, Helen and Sarah and they will be joined by Natalie Mott who will provide a bit of much needed youth input. Dear Diary, what a day it’s been. Well, I realise it’s been several days since I wrote in you in February 2010, and the reason for this is…WELL to be completely honest with you Dear Diary, it’s just taken this long to remember my Myspace password. SUCH a lot has happend, not to me though, I’ve just been typing combinations of pets names and special dates and Beyonces birth stars for well over a year now. And when I FINALLY remembered it , it had all changed and I got lost for several weeks actually INSIDE myspace which was confusing and VERY lonely for me.

We have news! well remember we made a big song and dance about never ever in a million squillion years gracing the stage at the same time ever ever again? and made everyone buy our live album with the suggestion that it would be our last ever recording? and told everyone Helen had died? and that I had been brainwashed and joined a naked cult in Scandanavia with a Finnish soap star? and that Rachel had turned into Bridezilla and was last see heading for the hills in a peacock themed rampage?? well dear diary… IT’S CHANGED! WE’RE PERFORMING SOME NEW SHOWS!!! (and we lied about Helen) I am back on the Invocal farm for a few weeks and we are in rehearsals. The new shows will feature…

We are not yet entirely sure what we will call the show, as our NEW show will involve much newness and progression as well as non-newness, seminewness bi-newness and trans-newness.

We miss rehearsals with Bee dear diary, but we are very glad to be performing with Miss Moloney again, apart from when she is shit, and then we miss Bee even more.

We are not going back to being a full time band, more returning for sporadic touring and blocks of shows. This way we’re hoping to reduce the number of fist fights, and general fisting.

EVERYONE in our beloved village of Northambleton is DELIGHTED at the prospect of our return we know this because they even had a STREET PARTY with union jacks and everything! They were SO excited I was coming back they couldn’t even wait until I was actually back! and had it at the end of April!?.

I bumped into a group of villagers near the bandstand just as they seemed to be hurrying off and announced the good news “oh fucking hell!” they exclaimed in joy!

Anyway dear diary I had better go as I am getting a haircut. I daredn’t get one in Finland you see, because, well, you know, it IS in Africa… and you just never know do you?

They ARE funny in Finland dear diary, they keep referring to ME as foreign! it’s topsy turvy land!

A wonderful collection of songs as performed at Invocal’s last ever gig plus: 3 tracks from The All New Rosie & Rachel Show! You will absolutely find that these 3 tracks alone were worth the wait but the whole album is fantastic.

You can buy it in the regular place on this very website. We would encourage you to share the music on your Facebook/Twitter/Myspace/Pleaselookatme.com page via the many many sharing option so that many people get to hear the songs, both old and new.

Good news for all those people who do not yet have a complete Invocal collection. The first 3 releases have been reduced in price! You can now get your Invocal music cheaper than ever. How cheap, I hear you say. Well, that’s up to you actually.

We have dropped the prices for Simple Things, Beer & Fools and Problem Pages and set a minimum of £0.50 per song. However, if you decide that is just ridiculously cheap for music of such fantastic quality, you are now able to pay as much as you want. How much, I hear you say. Well, as a suggestion, I would say: more = good.

Other than that, it’s up to you. How cool is that!

This offer however is ONLY valid if you buy the music directly from Invocal via Bandcamp at the links above. If you prefer to line the pockets of Amazon & Apple instead of Invocal, you can still pay full whack. But that would be silly. Because you could give that extra money straight to us.

Own a video of Invocal’s last gig!

Do you want to own a video of Invocal’s last ever gig? Do you want to see Rosie’s feathers, Bee’s wig, Helen’s eyelashes, Sarah’s wings and Rachel’s rocks again? Now you can!

If you were there and want to re-live the magic, or if you missed it and want to see what it was like, you can now order your copy of a DVD of the entire performance!

Initially, this video was recorded only for the girls so that they would have a nice souvenir of the night. However, since the night, many people have been in touch asking if they could buy a copy.

We have decided to let people buy a copy of the video on DVD, which is over 2 hours long, for a small fee that covers manufacturing, time and postage.

The video is a lovely souvenir, especially when combined with the live CD (which, by the way, will be ready in a few weeks).

However, we would like to make it clear that this is NOT a professionally produced DVD. The sound and video are straight off the video camera that was mounted on the ceiling of The Labour Club. The video of Sex, which you can see below, gives a good impression of what the entire video is like. Please note: I ran out of tape towards the end of the first set so the DVD does NOT contain “Where The Gotten Go” and “Love’s Young Dream”.

You should of course still buy it because, hey, it has Invocal on it, but it obviously does not have quite the same production values as the wonderful videos on Invocal’s YouTube channel: InvocalMusi c.

The DVDs will be made on-demand so are very limited indeed. They will cost £7 including postage.

Thank you to everyone who came to The Final (over)Act on Saturday! It was great fun and hopefully you enjoyed it too. I have sent the girls away on a few days in a spa where they can detox. Then Rosie & Rachel will be put to work immediately so ensure the All new Rosie & Rachel Show or whatever name they will pick eventually) gets off to a great start.

It will be released in a few weeks time and available for a very short time only. Get your order in now.

If you have bought tickets for Invocal’s last EVER show, you should have received an email with details about the tickets. However, as I was writing the email trying to fight back tears of depression at the thought of Invocal’s Final (over)Act, I forgot to mention what time the gig actually starts.

On Saturday 17th July, the doors of The Labour Club will open at 7.45 and the gig will start at 8.45pm. There will only be a handful of seats available. The rest is standing room only. If you really need a seat, please get in touch (marieke@invocal.co.uk) and we’ll do our best.
